At-Home Abortion & Your Options
While skipping the abortion clinic and ordering online may look like an easy, stress-free, safe option, we’re here to help you understand the risks involved, what not to do, the information you need to know ahead of time, what to expect, and what to do if things go wrong at home.
Your best first step is an ultrasound to confirm a viable intrauterine pregnancy and rule out an ectopic pregnancy, which can be life-threatening. An ultrasound can also tell you how far along you are.
Book a cost-free consultation and ultrasound appointment. No insurance is needed and same-day appointments are often available.

Before an abortion, it’s important to talk to a medical professional about your health history and what to do in the event of an allergic reactions to the medication. In states that have been measuring the side-effects, reported complications from the abortion pill have increased in the past several years. Be sure to ask the abortion provider what follow up they will do for you and when to go to the ER if you have complications.
If you have only taken the first dose of the abortion pill and change your mind, it is still your choice. You can call the Abortion Pill Reversal Line at 877-558-0333.
Abortion Pills By Mail
The abortion pill is available with certain restrictions from the Food and Drug Administration. It must be prescribed by a health care provider that meets certain requirements, but is not recommended by the FDA to buy the pill online. The side effects range from unpleasant (cramping, bleeding, nausea, headache, fever) to life-threatening (sepsis, rupturing of the uterus, undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy, and more).
Taking the abortion pill without seeing a doctor or having an ultrasound is never recommended. We put you and your safety first and we'd never recommend an unsafe option.
However, if you’ve already ordered pills, we can still provide you with an ultrasound to confirm how far along you are. This information can determine how many pills that are required to complete an abortion.
